Yay! Today I got myself all scheduled for next semester. Here is some good news, I got all of the classes that I wanted! Of course, that shouldn't surprise me much considering the fact that English isn't exactly the most popular major on campus but still..I worry (it's in my nature or something)! :)

So, my classes are as follows...

Monday-
11:00-11:50: African American Lit.
12:00-12:50: Shakespeare's World
A big long break and...
3:00-3:50: Jazz Choir
4:00-5:30: Choir

Tuesday-
9:00(bleh)-9:50: Core 4 (Western Civ.) Discussion
10:00-10:50: Core 4 (Western Civ.) Lecture (Yay..discussion before lecture..interesting)!
Lunch and (perhaps) a nap!
12:35-1:50: History through Literature (Woo!!! I'm very excited about this one)!

Wednesday-
11:00-11:50: African Am. Lit.
12:00-12:50: Shakespeare's World
Another..big long break
3:00-3:50: Jazzing it up in Jazz Choir
4:00-5:30: Choir!
6:30-9:00: World of Dante and the Divine Comedy (HOLY CRAP I'M EXCITED ABOUT THIS ONE)!!!!

Thursday-
A repeat of Tuesday!

Friday-
11:00-11:50: African Am. Lit.
12:00-12:50: Shakespeare's World
And..that's all! :)

So yep, I'm definitely uber excited about this coming semester! I'm taking courses that I actually want to take! I'm just feeling very good about this new minor of mine..history! :) So yep, next semester is looking to be wonderful! I love learning!!!!

Erika!

Well, I keep on neglecting this xanga. I suppose this is due to the fact that I now have a new online journal thing..a livejournal. Anyway, I'll update on here (in case anyone is actually reading this)...

In my last post I was all excited about Ben Folds. Unfortunately, the tickets were way too expensive so, that plan didn't go through. I'm sure I'll see Mr. Folds some other time in the future anyway. Now, I'm definitely going to go see Ok Go in Chicago on November 10th! I have the tickets and everything (only 20 bucks..not bad compared to the forty or fifty Ben Folds would have cost). I really like Ok Go a lot and I think they seem like a super fun band so they should be a lot of fun in concert. Plus, I'm going with Sarah and Ray..they're always a blast to hang out with.

I've been scheduling my courses for next semester. It looks like I'll have 20 credit hours. I'm taking a couple of English courses (African American Lit and World of Dante). They should be very interesting. Especially the world of Dante! I'm taking a lot of history classes next semester as well since I'm now officially a history minor. I'm taking Shakespeares World (I'll be learning about a lot of different "worlds"..teehee) and History through Literature. I think I'll enjoy those classes a lot. I'm also involved in two different choirs next semester (Jazz and regular chorus). They will be super fun (of course)! And finally, I'm taking Core. I'll probably have discussion with Father Kirch..hopefully he'll be a fun professor! I really believe next semester will be very interesting. I'm looking forward to it. I love learning! :)

And finally, my relationship with Jacob just keeps getting better and better. I'm so absolutely happy whenever I am with him. I honestly believe that he completes me. We have been trying to see one another at least once a week and thus far, we've pretty much been able to do that. Unfortunately I probably won't be seeing him for a couple of weeks now due to work schedules and bad cars. Yet, I don't think that this will hurt Jacob and me at all. While distance is hard to deal with I believe if you truly love and care about someone the relationship will work out. Honestly, I think the distance can only make us stronger. I love Jacob so much. He's the light in my life. Love sure is a beautiful thing!

Peace, love and happiness to you all!

I seriously love Ben Folds. I might even love him more than any other artist out there right now. His music really touches me. It can make me happy when I'm feeling gloomy. It's good to listen to while driving long distances (or even short ones). His music is just so easy to connect with. Plus, he's a kick ass piano player and you have to respect those skills. Fo shizzle.

Anyway, Ben Folds is coming to IU on November 9th! Sarah, Alan, whoever else wants to come along, and I are definitely going! So, yep! I'm excited to be seeing him again. He put on a great concert last year. I should make Ben Folds my yearly tradition or something. :)

Erika

So, I'm back at Saint Joe's for another year of learning and having fun. I have to say, being back in school is a great thing. I love learning. I especially love learning more about the subject of English. Mainly I love the fact that even though it's hard to be in school (what with being away from Jacob and all) I feel absolutely positive that he and I are going to make it. This sort of secure feeling in a relationship is so different from the last relationship I was in. In fact, I was looking back at all of my old posts on xanga earlier today and I realized how little I wrote about Rob. Now I realize that was due mainly to the fact that I wasn't really attracted to him. Hell, I didn't even know him. I just wish I knew then what I know now. There is no reason to simply settle for someone. I honestly feel like Jacob and I are meant to be and I don't care how cheesey that may sound! I feel like I really know him..and he really knows me. That's rare. Usually it is very difficult for me to express myself..that isn't the way it is with Jacob. I don't feel that I have any reason to be someone other than me. I love it!

I've grown up a lot over the past year or so. I'm happy I'm finally discovering what I want out of life. Life is good right now and I only hope it keeps going up from here. :)

Love,

Erika
